I would say it took me several months to get used to it. I had to speak English basically everyday at school when I was in primary school (KGV). So, it wasn't really a problem to me. Besides, none of my schoolmates could speak Chinese anyway; English was the only common language we could use to communicate. However, we used to show off our French though, since everyone could speak English.

Rap is a bad idea. You wouldn't want to call your friends "dawg" or "bitch". Besides, how are you going to learn a language from listening to music? Try BFBS radio station; it is an excellent station to tune up your accent, if you'd want to pick up British accent. :22:
