Racial stereotype happens everywhere, and I see it everyday in HK. When we think of an Asian, we think of an Oriental looking person; he can be Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, etc., and I bet "Chinese" would first come into the mind. Ironcially East Indians call themselves Asians, but we rarely consider them as Asians. When we think of an African, we would only think of a black person, but there are loads of whites in South Africa. To Americans, there are only two types in the world - whites and visible minorities (blacks, Asians, Arabs, the others - note: jews are considered as "whites"), which they think things would be more simpler.
