幾年前全家移民美國，但我留左幾個月走左，
我今年已經23 yrs 將會於六月重返美國，
因為以前唔讀書中學會考得一分，英文又唔好，
之後就係福利機構做左六年野，
我想問我如果想讀心理學會唔會好困難? 年紀會太大嗎?
如果以我情況我條路應該點走呀?
另外，我想係美國搵工，有無人可以幫幫手呀? 我會去 oakland。

If you are a citizen of the US or have a green card, I don't think "time" is the problem because you can go to college in the US whenever you want. If not, you have to pass the TOEFL examination (http://www.ets.org/bin/getprogram.cgi?test=toefl&redirect=format) before applying to any university in the US.
Anyway, back to the topic....

The Psychology BA degree itself is a 4-year degree. Generally speaking, this is not a difficult major. However, it assumed that you have the college English level to begin with.
1) Register in city college (submit your application online.)
Recommend Colleges:
a) Laney College (http://www.laney.peralta.edu/homex.asp?Q=Homepage),
b) City College of San Francisco (http://www.ccsf.edu/), and
c) College of San Mateo (http://gocsm.net/).
2) Submit your transcript (學生成績報告單)
(When you are physically in Oakland you can ...)
3) Take the placement test (學生分班測驗.) It does not matter if you did well or not in the test, they can still take you in.
4) Transfer to a 4-year college.
Not really. You can find classmates from 12 years old to 96 years old in most city colleges. However, students there are usually 18 to 45 years old.
Well.... that really depend on what you like to do and where you live.....
Anyway, get your Driver's Licence (駕車執照) first la~ you can worry about job search later :171:
