For me, there are too many Chinese here in Australia... All my friends here are also from HK. It is truly possible not to speak in English here, isn't this scary? I hope i can improve my english after going overseas to study but now I have already been here for 2 years and my english still sucks...

Especially the written one, i cant write good essays. I hate this coz this means I cant reli beat the locals.
I cant even write an english composition anymore as I used to write it every week in Form 5 for HKCEE. (which makes me often think 為公開試而機械式地讀書 is torturing but it can be so effective, agree?)
Good to know you can communicate confidently in a foreign language in such a short time, keep it up! =)

I would say it took me several months to get used to it. I had to speak English basically everyday at school when I was in primary school (KGV). So, it wasn't really a problem to me. Besides, none of my schoolmates could speak Chinese anyway; English was the only common language we could use to communicate. However, we used to show off our French though, since everyone could speak English.

Rap is a bad idea. You wouldn't want to call your friends "dawg" or "bitch". Besides, how are you going to learn a language from listening to music? Try BFBS radio station; it is an excellent station to tune up your accent, if you'd want to pick up British accent. :22:
